Solar Power Plant

Achieve Maximum Energy Production and Faster ROI from your Solar Farms

Our Drones are equipped with a combination of sensors and revolutionizing the development, deployment, and inspection of Solar Power Plants, both Roof Top, and Ground-Based. Equipped with thermal imaging, photo, and video cameras, drones perform a variety of GIS and Inspection roles.

Value of Drones for Solar Farm Inspections

  • Rapid and Easy scans for Rooftops and arrays

  • Hot spot identification showing defective cells / Geotagged image

  • Diagnostic purpose / Planning of Panel Placement

  • Infrared signatures show defective panels

  • Keep the solar farm running at peak efficiency

  • Save time with pre-selected waypoint aerial inspections

Ground Based Solar Farm

Development Phase

During the development stage, ASATRobos UAV-based GIS service provides Contour Maps, DSMs, DTM, Orthophotos, and more with accuracy greater than .5m. This allows the installation and MEP to be planned in great detail ensuring minimal cut and fill.

During the project management phase, periodic surveys using ASATRobos UAVs allow for the development of as-built– surveys. These can be overlaid on the build drawings to ensure that construction is as per plan and schedule.

Operational Phase

ASATRobos UAVs utilize both visual and thermal cameras to inspect the solar arrays. Visual inspection allows for the discovery of potential damage and debris build-up, while Thermal inspection identifies areas where cells are potentially defective or damaged. Using a combination of the ASATRobo UAV equipped with a Thermal and visual camera means that large areas can be inspected within a matter of hours. Our systems can cover between .5-5sqm per hour.

Roof Top Solar Plants

Development Phase

Rooftops by their very nature are difficult areas to operate. Using ASATRobos UAVs to develop a 3D model of the building allows planners to note mounting points, lifting points, conflict areas, and other relevant data while keeping the engineer's feet safely on the ground. It is also very cost and time-effective.
